Eve Rogans has almost 40 years experience in working as an acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. She has also had specialist training in fertility, obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as paediatrics, for Chinese medicine practitioners.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles into mostly the arms or legs, and sometimes the belly or back. These do not go into nerves or blood vessels and are mostly painless. You may only occasionally feel a tiny prick, twinge or feeling of local numbness. These are all appropriate sensations for acupuncture and only last a few seconds. The needles are then left in for about 20 minutes while you relax on a treatment bed.
Chinese medicine is based on the traditional theory that illness is due to the body's life force, known as Qi, being blocked, unbalanced or deficient. A traditional Chinese acupuncturist can help restore the natural flow and balance of these energies, bringing you back to health. Most people get up after the treatment feeling energised and relaxed (What happens in a session).
Eve is an acupuncturist with special training in paediatric, obstetric and fertility matters. She is a very longstanding member of the London Acupuncture for Childbirth Team (ACTLondon), offering support before pregnancy, as well as throughout pregnancy and birth. She has much experience in helping both men and women with fertility matters and around IVF treatment. She has also treated many gynaecological and menstrual issues for nearly 40 years.

She has always believed in making Chinese medicine accessible to more people and in recent years, opened Highgate Community Acupuncture, a multibed clinic originally funded by the Lottery, which aimed to bring affordable treatment to people who wouldn't be able to have regular therapy otherwise. This facility is now closed.
Throughout her career, she has worked all over north west London, visiting vulnerable or elderly people following her Lottery grant to Sheltered Housing in Camden and through her involvement with the charity Women and Health (W&H) in Camden. Women and Health is a community health centre that delivers affordable complementary therapies and counselling to some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised women in Camden, as well as to paying clients who appreciate the comfort that a womens' only space can provide. Eve has now stopped working at Women and Health but has made arrangements that her service there will carry on with other practitioners.

She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
Her acupuncturist practice is located in North West London within easy reach of Kentish Town, Highgate, Hampstead, Finchley, Tufnell Park, and Camden.
